This furniture retailer came with a simple brief: help us move into the premium end of the market. This company was now focusing their business model around selling highly crafted European furniture and they needed their old identity to reflect this shift. Contempo wanted the personality of the brand to be more quirky, slightly enigmatic and less mainstream. An interesting concept had to be present, but not to the detriment of the product. Paramount was the need to connect people with the timeless style and sophistication of their furniture.
From this brief came the use of Italian renaissance masterpieces which will provide fertile creative territory for years to come.
‘Touch another world’ was the positioning line adopted and the logo was crafted out of wood to express a tactile 3D quality.
